I live in beautiful, historic New Orleans, Louisiana.
Although I have no formal training or fine art education, I have known from a very early age that painting was in my blood. I began sketching with charcoal and experimenting with water colors at a young age and began using various mediums such as oils and acrylics as I grew more comfortable with a brush and canvas. I was heavily influenced and lovingly encouraged by my mother, who is a very talented artist herself.
I moved here to New Orleans a little over 2 years ago and immediately I came alive again after not touching a paint brush for many years. The smells, tastes, sights....everything. I was in love with beautiful things again. I was surrounded by them! I found that even the ordinary things here are quite extraordinary. I had to capture it.
I work mostly with acrylics and pastels but I'm hoping to branch out with more mediums. I'll be sure to post pieces here as they are completed.
I paint mostly nudes and aquatic abstracts....but as we all know, those comforts can change as quickly as my mood....which is quite often.
